Refreshing Sprite Designs

The soft drink Sprite originated in Germany. In times of civil rights movements and flower power, Sprite came onto the market under the name “Fanta Klare Zitrone”. Today, it is still an integral part of the Coca-Cola product range and extremely popular. Literally translated, Sprite means “goblin”. A small green goblin served as the brand’s advertising mascot for a long time. Nostalgic Art is dedicating its own small themed world to him. Represented are three typical for Nostalgic-Art products made of tin, decorated with the old Sprite logos.
Our themed world includes a tin sign, a hanging sign and a thermometer. The tin sign measures 15 x 20 cm in portrait format. The hanging sign measures 10 x 20 cm and is landscape format. With the cord made of fabric it can be easily attached to the wall.

Sprite: A breath of fresh air from green bottles

The mixture of the soft drink at that time was very simple, but tasty. It contained the ingredients water, sugar and lemon juice. It was only after its expansion to the States that it was given the name Sprite in this country in The taste has always been developed and complemented by other new flavors, such as Sprite with cucumber. Sprite means sprite, but it is also a compound word made up of the English words “sprinkle” and “lite” (light). These characteristics perfectly describe the soft drink. It tastes of green limes and sun-ripened lemons. The first Sprite slogan at the time was: ” Fresh wind from green bottles” and was later supplemented by “iceclear tart and sparkling fresh”.
The cartoon character in the shape of a little goblin, did not only exclusively advertise Sprite. Back in the 1940s, the popular mascot was already advertising the Coca-Cola drink. In 2009, Sprite got the logo we know today.
The company sold their drinks in green Sprite glass bottles from the very beginning. These glass bottles are depicted in detail on our Nostalgic Art tin products in front of a citrus yellow circle. Next to the bottles is the classic Sprite logo from 1968. The hanging sign also says “Served Here”.
Therefore, it is perfect for bars. On the thermometer is a six-pack with Sprite bottles depicted.
